 Middle School Strength

Training Camp

 

Let’s start teaching and training our young middle school athletes how to safely and effective improve their total body strength by training their body the way it was designed to work

 

Camp Details

 Location: Faith Lutheran Church – Germantown

 

Who Should Attend:  Any 7th or 8th Grade Male Athlete who wants to learn and train to  effectivelystrengthen their body to become a faster and stronger athlete on the court or field.

 

 Days:   Tuesday and Thursday          Time:   4:15pm – 5:00pm

 

Session Dates  (Each session has 8 training opportunities)

 

 Session 1 – January 4  Thru January 29 

Session 2 – February 1  Thru February 26

Session 3 – March 1  Thru March 26

                                                        

Cost:   Based on number of sessions  an athlete commits to prior to the start of session 1 (January 4th) 

 

                    1 session  $85/session           2 sessions $79/session               3  sessions $69/session   

      

Athletes do not have to participate in sessions back to back but it is highly recommended they train consistently.   Each session will be limited to 30 athletes.

 .

Camp Format:  The camp will focus primarily on developing strength with less emphasis on actual cardiovascular conditioning.   Athletes will do running type drills but with the goal being to strengthened their body versus getting cardiovascular fit.

 

All athletes should come with – Running or Court shoes, shorts, T-shirt, Filled Water Bottle, towel if needed and a dry t-shirt for when they leave.

 

Train Camp Goals and Objectives: 

  • Teach young athletes how to increase their total body strength following a progressive strength training program specifically designed for the young middle school athlete 

 

  • Be able to correctly perform a body weight squat, push-up, pull up, lunge, and split squat along with the hopping versions of some of those drills

 

  • Put athletes through challenging strengthening workouts using body weight and other portable strength training tools designed  for young athletes

 

  • Teach young athletes how to safely and effective strength train their body using age appropriate training techniques and tools

 

  • Build a young athletes confidence and self esteem by getting stronger

 

 

  • Provide young athletes a team oriented, high energy, motivating  environment  that  allows them to workout with other like minded kids without the pressure of an intense weight room atmosphere

 

  • Prepare 8th grade athletes to take part in the 2010 Summer Speed and Conditioning Camp as a incoming freshman

 

  • Prepare 7th graders to take part in a Level 2 Summer program in 2010

 

I am very excited to be offering this exclusive training camp that will allow parents to provide their son with a means of getting stronger safely and without the pressure of being  put into what can be an intimidating weight room environment.
